David and Louise Williams originally came to Dorset in the year 2000.
After owning a successful restaurant in London the couple decided to bring their children up in the heart of the countryside
moving to West Stour where they owned ‘The Ship Inn’. After 5 years the couple decided to take a break and sold ‘The Ship
Inn’. However, 6 months later they fell in love with ‘The Crown’ in Ibberton and couldn’t resist the potential.
After refurbishing the pub with a new lease of life David and Louise introduced the village to their new menu of fresh
ingredients and locally sourced meat and vegetables on the 5th Nov 05.
Since then ‘The Crown’ has gone from strength to strength, attracting many customers from far and wide.
‘The Crown’ is nestled below the famous Bulbarrow view point, surrounded by bridleways, footpaths and breath taking views.
‘The Crown’ offers an airy and welcoming bar, with an open fire and relaxed sofa seating area as well as two more formal
restaurant areas. In the spring and summer months the customers can enjoy and relax in the outside eating area and a
tranquil and colourful garden. The garden also consists of a running stream, and well stocked flower beds.
Customers can enjoy an afternoon in the garden with dogs (on leads) and a refreshing drink after a walk through the stunning
Blackmore Vale.
Just remember, for Birthdays, Anniversaries or maybe just because it’s Tuesday, Lunch or Dinner at ‘The Crown’ is always
worth the visit and will always make any occasion special.
